Our Mission
Hey there, language learning buddy! Curious about what we're all about? Read on to see what all the fuss is about.
We want to build the most effective, affordable, and easiest language learning program on the web.
That's right. We're just starting out but we believe that we can do something great here. There's a lot of competition out there, but we're go-getters. Just like you.
Why language learning apps aren't as great as they think they are....
I know you're probably thinking about using an app to learn a new language, but I wanted to give you a heads up about some challenges you might face.
First off, apps are great for learning vocab and grammar, but they can't replace the real deal - talking with native speakers and getting feedback from a teacher who knows their stuff. It's like trying to learn how to swim by watching videos - you gotta jump in and practice!
Another thing to keep in mind is that apps often teach you words and phrases out of context. It's like learning how to use a screwdriver without ever seeing a screw! You might struggle to apply what you've learned in real life situations.
Oh, and don't even get me started on pronunciation and listening practice. Some apps skimp on these, leaving you sounding like a robot and struggling to understand native speakers. It's crucial to nail these skills if you want to communicate effectively.
Now, I know you're a self-motivated language learning machine, but let's be real - it's tough to stay on track when you're going solo with an app. Without the accountability of a class or tutor, it's easy to lose steam and fall off the language learning wagon.
Apps also tend to gloss over grammar explanations, which can leave you scratching your head when things get complex. It's like trying to build a house without understanding the blueprints!
And let's not forget that everyone learns differently. Apps usually have a one-size-fits-all approach, which might not jive with your learning style or goals. It's important to find a method that works for you.
Lastly, tech issues and distractions can really throw a wrench in your language learning plans. Nobody wants to deal with glitchy audio or constant notifications when they're trying to focus on mastering a new language.
So, while language learning apps can be a great tool, they're not always the complete package. Consider mixing things up with classes, language exchanges, or immersion experiences to get the most out of your language learning journey. You've got this!
And classroom learning isn't much better...
Hey there, my language learning amigo! I know you're considering taking a language class, and I wanted to give you the inside scoop on some of the challenges you might encounter.
First things first, classroom learning is fantastic for getting face-to-face interaction and feedback from a qualified teacher. But, let's be real - sometimes the pace of the class might not match your learning speed. It can be frustrating if you're feeling left behind or held back by the group's progress.
Another thing to consider is that classroom learning often follows a set curriculum. While this provides structure, it might not always align with your personal language goals or interests. It's like being served a fixed menu when you're craving something specific!
Now, I know you're a social butterfly, but group dynamics can be tricky. You might find yourself paired up with classmates who have different learning styles or levels of dedication. It's important to find a way to collaborate and support each other, even if you're not always on the same page.
Speaking of pages, textbooks and materials used in class can sometimes be a bit dry or outdated. It's like trying to learn about pop culture from a dusty old encyclopedia! Don't be afraid to supplement your learning with more engaging resources.
Consistency is key when it comes to language learning, but life can get in the way of attending classes regularly. Missed lessons can lead to gaps in your understanding and make it harder to keep up with the class. It's like trying to complete a puzzle with missing pieces!
And let's not forget the logistical challenges - commuting to class, finding parking, or juggling your schedule to make it to lessons on time. It's like playing a real-life game of Tetris!
Lastly, classroom learning can be a bit pricey compared to other options. While investing in your education is always worthwhile, it's important to find a balance that works for your budget.
Don't get me wrong - classroom learning has a ton of benefits, like the opportunity to practice speaking with others and get immediate feedback. But, it's important to be aware of the potential challenges so you can plan ahead and make the most of your language learning experience.
But learning with a platform like Language Learning Made Simple could be the best of both worlds, without a lot of the disadvantages.

Why we're a great option for your language learning journey.
It can really difficult to choose how you're going to learn a new language because there are so many options out there. But if you're just starting out, and you want a program that is affordable and comprehensive, we feel that we could be a great option for you.
We take advantage of media from multiple different sources.
When you join our community of language learners, we don't expect you to learn everything here. That's why we incorporate language sources from around the web. Our paid subscriptions include videos, audio, and other materials from many different sources.
The truth is that we wouldn't have time to create these amazing resources ourselves, but that doesn't mean that you shouldn't have access to them. And instead of you going out and spending hours looking for these resources yourself, we include them in your paid membership.
We're constantly growing with you. Here's our roadmap for the next year.
We're a brand new site. We don't have many language lessons at this point. But we believe we have enough to get you started, and we're adding new lessons every single week.
Summer 2024 - We expect to have our beginner Spanish and German courses finished.
Fall 2024 - We plan on adding French and Italian beginner courses, as well as adding to the Spanish and German courses.
Winter 2025 - We'll be adding more advanced courses in every language we offer.
Spring 2025 - We plan on adding a community where our paid members can find support, and even possibly find language exchange partners.
Less expensive than a cup of coffee.
We realize that not everyone has a ton of money to spend on learning a new language; especially if you're saving for the vacation of a lifetime, or planning to move across the world. And we wanted to make our courses available to as many people as possible.
That's why we decided to make all of our courses $5 a month. It cheaper than a cup of joe at Starbucks. Cheaper than the gas you would need to drive to a physical class somewhere. And cheaper than most language learning software. We believe you're getting a great deal by joining our courses.
